Photographic Coverage
Images obtained for air surveying purposes differ from those obtained from panoramic aerial photography, basically in that the former are often taken with metric cameras (fixed focal distance and very low degree of lens distortion, assured film-flatness and 23cm x 23cm image).
Images obtained with cameras that lack those features are not adequate for accurate mapping, and should be used for other purposes that do not entail photo interpretation.
Engefoto presently owns two aircrafts specially customized for aerial surveying jobs. Our cameras feature high-resolution spearhead lens with forward motion compensation (FMC) and high-resolution.
Another advantage are gyroscope-stable mounting and GPS receivers that enables the supported flight technique, which in its turn yields significant savings for the ground support stage. There are also cones with focal distances of 88 mm, 153 mm and 300 mm.
Film developing and photography products (in color or B&W) are done by an in-house lab that operates from the headquarters, fully equipped with electronic photocopiers and automatic processors.
