Land Digital Models
The development of computer tools for topography and geography further day-by-day the importance of land digital models, making them a valuable source of information. They can be used for countless applications, such as for the areas of study that use that kind of information for a specific interest.

Watersheds and networks, valley bottoms and coves, water mirrors, structural land lines, embankments and landfills, volumetric studies, and slope maps are easily-characterized, quantified and in some cases simulated, based on the digital land model of the area under study.
Telecommunication companies are demanding digital terrain models for optimized microwave linking, which can detect edifications (obstacles) on the land surface. Digital terrain models are mandatory to take digital orthophotos, because without the former it is impossible to correct distortions in photographic images caused by land form.

To be able to obtain such information in regions that lack the required mapped accuracy, aerial route methods are the most agile and cost-effective solution. In areas already adequately mapped, information can be obtained from the proper combination of planimetric and altimetric elements yielded by digitalization (in case they are analog) or by the graphic editing of files.
Engefoto has highly competent staff and specific software in place to carry out the above mentioned activities.
