Geomatics Engineering : Geodesic and Topographic Surveys
Geodesic and Topographic Surveys
Geodesic and Topographic Surveys are used in territorial dimension surface representations, where topography is an assistance tool for determining geodesic support. Geodesic surveys comprise a group of measuring and observation activities to determine our planet’s form and dimensions (geoid and ellipsoid). Some examples of topographic and geodesic surveying services offered by Engefoto:
- Accurate Transverse and Leveling surveying
- Geodesic Positioning System (GPS)
- Property and settlement legalization
- Urban project and development surveying
- Road Project surveying
- Transmission line and oil pipeline project surveying
- Planialtimetric and cadastral surveying
- Cadastral surveying for damage and/or misappropriation analysis.

Our company performs all the abovementioned surveying activities via total stations and automatic collector electronic levels and a wide range of licensed specific software for processing and design. We have carried out different topographic surveys for transmission line drawing studies, poliduct guidelines, road projects, hydroelectric power utilization, property legalization, urban land parceling and civil work location, as well as land support for aerophotogrammetry endeavors.
The combination of topographic and geodesic methods via the NAVSTAR-GPS satellite tracking system has yielded a powerful tool for all the abovementioned purposes.
For such, Engefoto has seven L1 and L2 dual-frequency receivers and specific software to process observations by differentiated methods that can be kinematic, rapid static or simply static.
