Paving Management

Supported by well-founded paving assessment expertise, Engefoto started to supply services for the paving management systems sector.

Those systems are major tools that enable road agencies and road concession companies to manage, on logical bases, regular maintenance actions (restorations).

From a consistent road database, the software helps the planner to forecast the behavior of the road network under different investment scenarios and to set up annual and pluriannual investment
programs, to mention but a few possibilities.

Engefoto operates intensely in collecting data for Paving Management Systems, surveying extensive road networks for DNIT, state road agencies and concessionary companies. Collected data is of the falling weight deflectometer (FWD) type, longitudinal irregularity, surface conditions (defects) and traffic.

In terms of software, Engefoto headed the consortium responsible for implementing the Paving Management System for the Road Department of the State of Paraná, when TRDI software was customized to meet the needs of our clients and the idiosyncrasies of the road network of the State of Paraná.

The company also developed integrated maintenance management systems for state agencies of (AGETOP) and Ceará (DERT, currently DER/CE).
