Transport Engineering : Road Concessions
Road Concessions
With the restriction of using bound resources since the enactment of the 1988 Constitution, the recovery of the existing road network was seriously impaired. What followed was a scenario of rampant deterioration, where operating costs escalated and the efficient circulation of cargo and passengers was hindered. Road concession programs for private entities came to be under that context as a solution to curtail the costs of public authorities and further the recovery and efficient operation of roads, addressing all costs incurred with concessionary actions with income from toll-booths.

Aware of the evolution that was taking place, ENGEFOTO started to participate in the first Concession processes and has since been part of the different stages, such as:
- Providing support to the granting authority, both to format programs and supervise concession plots.
- Providing support to private groups that want to submit tenders, by surveying information on the Road network and setting up recovery strategies throughout the program’s different stages.
- Providing support to concessionaries via engineering surveying and projects that address the implementation of toll booths, paving management systems, initial recovery projects, restoration projects, duplication and increased capacity projects , work supervision and technological control, etc.
Engefoto always takes a firm ethical, conflict-free stand in all its actions and in all its areas of operation.
